%$#@! Girl Scouts

The cookies arrived today -- the ones I ordered before I knew I was going on a diet. Two boxes of minty chocolaty goodness are calling out to me.

Maybe in a few weeks I'll be able to eat cookies again, but not yet. Any sugar I have now will just trigger stronger cravings. I refuse to jeopardize my success thus far.

In better news, survived the first week of my diet and lost six pounds. It'd be nice if my weight loss could continue at that pace, but it doesn't work that way.

Congratulations!! Wow, six pounds is absolutely fantastic!!

I don't know if I have mentioned this in the past, but Baby Rught is Major League Baseball's Official Chocolate and...get this, we get it for free!! Bags of Baby Ruth...I just received 10 the other day.

So I put them in a cute Coca-cola bowl on my desk. (irony note: Pepsi is Major League Baseball's official soda, lol).

I bet you that if I had fresh baked bread instead of chocolate I would have probably eaten up the whole thing before this.

Good luck...you don't want those sugar cravings...horrible, horrible!!

No! FREE Baby Ruth candy bars??? I'm so glad for you that sugar is not your weakness. Around here, I have to contend with free, employer-supplied pop (er, soda). I hate saying "no" simply because it's free.

You can mail me those cookies at any time. My address is 11325 P...Just kidding! Great job on the weight loss! That is awesome! And I call it "pop" too. Screw that "soda" talk unless you are talking about plain, carbonated water.

Interesting. You call it pop? We in the Midwest are led to believe that only Midwesterners call it pop -- a word that makes us sound like uncouth hicks. Glad to hear that not everyone outside the Midwest disdains the word. :)

No-we're considered weirdos too. Apparently it's just a Western New York thing. If you go outside the area, most people call it soda also.

You should try the 100 calorie Oreo bars. They are actually quite good and only 100 calories!

Although I must confess I bought regular oreos at the same time.:-(

Yeah, but when you eat three in a row, you're up to 300 calories. That's my problem. I wouldn't be able to stop at just one. And let's say I had only one bar available to eat. I'd spend the rest of day wishing for something sweet. It's better if I don't have anything at all.
