Losing weight

I've decided to commit to losing some weight. Here's my online diet and fitness journal:

Now everyone can see how many vegetables I'm not eating.

If you look closely enough, you'll see that I weigh ... wait for it ... try not to gasp ... 240 pounds. I can't believe I weigh that much. My highest nonpregnant weight ever. Wow. I won't even tell you what size pants I wear. Some people won't give out their weight, but I draw the line at pant size. Okay, 22. I'm wearing a size 22. I don't know how that happened. When I graduated from high school, I weighed 129 pounds and ate junk every single day.

Craving report:
I have a sweet tooth. The cravings aren't too bad yet. Although I'd love to have a custard long john donut and a quart of chocolate milk right now and I'm having trouble concentrating on work.

I HATE trying to lose weight! (Which I am doing right now-well, the trying part anyway) In highschool I also weighed much less than I do now (actually I used to be the "ideal" weight for my height according to those charts) and the sick thing was, back then I thought I was fat! I wish I could go back in time and smack myself upside the head!

Oh and I've already cheated today with Easter candy. I'm blaming it on the fact that I don't feel good, but any excuse is good for chocolate. Sorry-probably not helping you.

Blue Girl, you should participate in my new poll! :)

I never thought I was fat in high school (because I wasn't), but I also never thought I'd have to struggle with weight when I got older. Sigh.

    Hi Jessica!
I wish you the best with this! You know my struggles!!

It seems like the older I get the harder it is to lose weight!! I was never skinny, NEVER! I was skinny in Elementary school, I should post pictures!

Are you on any type of "diet" or are you just eating and keeping track of it?

    Z.

Z., it's an "eating healthier" diet. Unlike you, my weakness is sweets, and past experience shows that I fare better if I eliminate them totally -- no processed sugar or processed (white) flour. Only whole grains and natural sugars from fruit. In a few days, my cravings will go away and it won't be so hard to resist the bad stuff. The food journal helps because it allows me to see the effect of everything I eat. It's not as easy to cheat when you know you have to write everything down.
