You are so right on I mean really! Algebra phew...but you need it for the GMATS
Actually, I use algebra all the time on long trips to calculate how long it's going to take me to get someplace while driving a given speed. I then use the information to decide just how fast over the speed limit I'm going to drive. Of course, now that I'm a parent, speeding scares me. I imagine hitting someone else's child, so I don't drive as fast as I used to...
That's true! I barely have to think about math and I work at a bank. And two negatives do NOT make a positive no matter how many people agree on it. Remember how many people agreed how fabulous the naked emperor's clothes were. It's the same thing.
BTW, you're such a geek, Jessica. My GPS tells me how many miles to go on my trip, how long I've been travelling, how long 'til I get there, et cetera.
Don't geeks usually have gadgets? Such as GPS units.
